"You will meet E.V.D.D."

Moon-beaming night,
Still searching for the light...

Up-roaring electrical activity of neurons,
Questioning the presence of the norms...

A sign read, "You will meet E.V.D.D."
WHO? WHY? bugged my mind,
Unanswered questions of mankind...

Thoughts were on sway,
Strolling on my way...

Who am I going to meet?
Suddenly a voice,
"Hello!"
I did not expect you,
"In uncertainty, I am the one with you."
You are a belief,
may or may not be true...
"So believe",
NO,
(pricking blow of air)
See!
You always bring along,
Pain, Disappointment...
EXPECTATION, You Hurt...

"If you don't expect things,
Turn around and,
You will always meet me."
"SURPRISE!"

Surprise shone the ray,
Walking ahead on the way...

Thumping, Pounding, Attacking,
DON'T INTRODUCE YOURSELF,
You flash as Breaking news,
Transforming everything into blues...
VIOLENCE!
How long is your existence?

"If someone slaps you,
Turn your face"
For What? To get slapped again?
Never! NON-VIOLENCE...
Neither would turn the face,
Nor my hand would raise.
(But What if the resistance break?)

It caught me tight,
"Accept it, I am in your mind,
I am the fire that sets action aflame."
Also the woe for mankind,
Too many of You, DESIRE,
leads to Depression and
Obsession....

Panting, Shuddering,
Someone blind-folded, whispered,
"Relax,
Keep walking,
Do EXPECT,
Do DESIRE,
But Don't be dependent,
No place for embitterment"

I could sense the light,

"Right of liberty,
Thoughts with clarity,
You can't have Happiness,
One need to pursue it,
You can do it!
Open your eyes,
Coz You DESERVE it..."

  2. Expectations Violence Desire Deserve,
    nice one.

If I had just one thing to say
Before my last breath fades away
Keep your head way up in the clouds
And never let them get you down

Keep hoping and dreaming and you will soar
With a little faith and love
    You will soar

  5. Poonam, you are only get better with each new post.

    So meaningful, so mature...

    E.V.D.D- expectation, violence, desire, deserve!

    True
. expectation brings frustrations and disappointments.
. When patience nd resistance breaks, people resort to violence
. desires are always present in the mind- you are right, it is the fire that sets actions afame
. yes every one deserves happiness and one needs to look for happiness and pursue it.

    Bravo!

  9. Words and notions,
    flow alike, o' 'Expectations'.

"Forever I shall show my presence",
so screams and envisions - 'Violence'.

"Toil, you have to day and night, or even perspire",
and then shall you meet me, says your 'Desire(s)'.

All that is 'you', all that is true, you need to preserve,
and maybe, you shall get what you 'Deserve'.

  21. loved the concept, of structuring the poem, the blocks in poem introduce & relate to 4 words or concepts, liked the way you wrote. but seems like the ideas should converge finally to give some special meaning or closure at the end, had to read couple of times to get it, but still very abstract.
